With an origin traced back to Nanyang College in China, National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) was established on 1958 in Hsinchu, Taiwan, and has become one of Taiwan’s prestigious public research universities. Following the profound university motto “Learn New Knowledge and Reach Far; Honor the Truth and Work Hard,” NCTU has trained numerous outstanding professionals in various fields, including 65% of the top management for the companies in Hsinchu Science Park. There are currently around 13,000 students on the five campuses, and the annual sparky Mei-Chu Game with the neighboring National Tsing Hua University is the most renowned inter-university competition in Taiwan.
T-Log 2016 is organized by the Department of Transportation and Logistics Management (DTLM) of National Chiao Tung University, most prominent transportation-related department in Taiwan. It is ranked the 1st in Taiwan, the 5th in Asia, and the 50th globally for the field of Supply Chain and Logistics according to the Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking in 2014. The department is committed to deliver relevant college education and outstanding research in the field of transportation and logistics management, all DTLM programs are AACSB-Accredited since 2007. There are currently a total of 19 full-time and 14 part-time faculty members and around 500 students on the two campuses in Hsinchu and Taipei.

National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) was established in 1953. Over the past 62 years, the University has undergone a great growth and change and is now recognized as one of the most important centers of high learning and scholarship, especially in the marine sciences, maritime studies, and fisheries. Responding to the changing needs of society and the widening interests of our students, we are developing into a comprehensive university with a unique maritime focus. We aim to be an internationally known institution of higher education.
Founded in 1958, the Department of Shipping and Transportation Management is devoted to educating and training students ready for the shipping industry. Marine-related industries have been playing important roles in international trade across the country. The major aim of the Department is to educate our students among areas of marine shipping, global logistics, air transportation, cargo management, in hopes of meeting with increasing demands of elites within the industries. Our ultimate goal is to equip our students with both theoretical and practical knowledge by graduation.
